Steve Waugh has confirmed that he will miss the Fouth npower Test in the Ashes series. The Australian captain underwent a diagnostic scan after sustaining a calf injury in the second innings of the Third npower Test at Trent Bridge.Waugh faced only one ball before he was taken off on a stretcher after sustaining the injury to his left leg when setting off for a quick single. He will take no further part in the match and, it is feared, he may have played his last Test cricket in England."He's had a scan, which has confirmed a tear in his left calf," an Australian team spokesman said."It will receive ice treatment over the next 24 hours and we will know more in due course."No announcement on a replacement has been made, though with several Australians excelling in county cricket there are plenty of options.
